Let's talk about AI @ A Lab
Hello again, creative coders and curious minds!
After an amazing Processing Day, we're doing something a little different. We'd like to get everyone together to talk about the elephant in the room: AI.
Join us at A Lab on Sunday, November 29th, from 13:00.
AI is everywhere, and its relationship with creative work is complicated. Creative coding sits somewhere between technology and art, so we're right in the middle of it. It's impossible to ignore, so why don't we talk about it?
We'll kick things off with an open discussion about AI and creative work. Are you using AI in your creative projects? How? Does it make you more productive? Are you excited about the possibilities, skeptical about the whole thing, or feeling a little Deep Blue?
We'll share a few thoughts and questions to get the conversation started, then open it up and see where it takes us. Whether you're using AI or avoiding it, we're curious to hear your perspective. All opinions are welcome, as long as the conversation stays respectful.
After the discussion, we'll move on to show & tell! This is your chance to share what you've been working on, whether it's an AI-powered project, a curious experiment, or something that didn't quite work out as expected. We'd love to see what you've been exploring and hear about what you've learned along the way.
Vibe Jam
We're also organizing a code jam to accompany this meetup! The theme is Vibe Jam, and the idea is simple: try making something you've had in your head for ages but never thought you'd have the time to build. Experiment beforehand and bring whatever you have to the show & tell on November 29th.
With AI's help, some of those ideas might finally become reality, or at least a working proof of concept.
Make things, break things, and show us the results! If you're curious, give it a whirl and see what you learn.
No need for anything polished. Weird experiments and spectacular failures are just as welcome as finished projects.
