Robot Poetry

This one was more of a themed working session than a coding challenge, where we gathered to create some digital/machine/robot poetry.

What is digital poetry? It could be an actual poem, a new language, an image that resembles a poem, or even a karaoke machine. As always, we let people interpret it as they liked! It didn't have to be done with code at all.

One little thing - we preferred that people avoid using LLMs. It wasn't about asking AI for an amazing poem, but rather about having fun creating and exploring. However, they were free to use AI if they needed help with coding.

Entries

We didn't have a form for people to submit their creations, but five were presented at the meetup at Crea. Here they are in alphabetical order:

David

As usual, David took a somewhat different approach and generated a video using his own tool, RSTR.

Masa

A philosophical take by Masa, who created The Hourglass Poem. Check it out on CodePen.

Nikolas

To cite Nikolas: "This is a binary search function rewritten with funny variable names."

Sinan

Sinan coded his poem live on the spot with the help of AI. Check it out on OpenProcessing

Stanko

Poetry may be light, but data isn't. Check out Glitchy Bard on MuffinMan's website.
